Over the past couple of months as I have started my little photography business, I have been looking for locations to do pictures. When I go to Washington to visit my family I love taking pictures in orchards. I love them!There are orchards down here, but I don't know who owns them and was kind of worried about just tromping through someones orchard without asking. I was talking to my dad about this and he reminded me that we had a distant relative down here that owns orchards and that he would call and ask if I could come up and check them out! I went up a few weeks ago and found this awesome sign with my maiden name... and then I found this awesome truck and of course the trees!! There are actually some really cool older cherry trees that are really big and knotty!

Fire Academy Pic
I am not sure if I have blogged about this yet or not... but just in case I haven't I will go ahead and fill you in. Josh has been in the fire academy since August of last year. It has been challenging with running our business, and having a family and a home to maintain, but somehow he has pulled it off!! The past 6 weeks he has been in class M-F from 6-10 and all day Saturday because he is also in the EMT course. This Saturday will be his last day of the fire portion and by the end of June he will be done with his EMT course! I am so proud of what a hard worker he is and how he is somehow able to juggle his many responsibilities!! Here is a picture of the whole group. Josh volunteered me to do their picture... it isn't my best work (I may have been slightly intimidated/nervous), but hopefully it will do the job!

Absence & and awesome surprise!!

In other news my husband is seriously the best husband ever! He was before this surprise, but now it is just confirmed even more. While I was in Washington visiting my family and doing pictures, Josh went out and bought me the imac that I have been dreaming about for a long time! I am dying because I haven't been able to get photoshop installed on it yet and I am so busy I haven't had time to learn how to use it... but let me just say I am in love.... with Josh of course, and kind of with my new computer!! This was such a major surprise because we have been talking for a while about how long it is going to take me to save my photo money to buy one! It is also a huge surprise because Josh just doesn't throw around expensive gifts like this. The other cute thing about it is how he had it all set up when I got home from Washington on a super cute/simple white desk. I have been telling him that I just want a real simple white desk so it would look clean and fresh in our front room. Well he was listening to me for the past couple of months and went out and found a desk just like I had described! I am a lucky girl!!

When I went to WA a few weeks ago I took Kylie around with me to find some locations. She is a good little model... it is nice to have a sister who likes her picture taken! There are a few more of these here.
