This is what the kids looked like most of the trip...

{Personally I think sweats with cowboy boots is adorable... especially with the one leg partially tucked in!!}
{Maddox was having a hard time with the shovel, so he used his hand to put the dirt in the shovel and then he would dump it!}

{Maddox on the lawnmower in his belly shirt!}

{Mase}

{Mason}

{Mase on the 4-wheeler}

{Mason and Sam}

{Zack's aweosme idea to get pulled on a piece of wood behind the lawnmower! Don't worry the blades were off and I was close by!}

{The boys on the ride!}

{Max refusing to get off!}

{Silly Kid}
{Sam, Maddox, and Zack}
This trip to WA was so fun for us! The boys had such a great time. My parents live in the country and have a huge yard, and their house sits on about 10 acres. The boys wanted to be outside the entire time we were there. They got to sit on the horses, get pulled the lawnmower (haha... great fun!!) play in the dirt, sit on the tractors, see lots of baby sheep, play with the dogs and cats, and just run around like crazy!! It really made me wish we lived in the country. It was just so good for the boys to be able to run around and play all day... and get really dirty! Some days they got 2 baths! Hopefully someday we will be able to live somewhere where our kids will be able to play like they did at my parents. I am a country girl at heart I guess and just want our kids to be able to get dirty, ride 4 wheelers, have lots of animals, play in hay forts, and have lots of space to run and be kids!
Another thing that made this trip neat is that I think our kids really know who my family is now. When we met my dad in Boise he walked in the room and immediately Mason said "papa." That was pretty neat that he recognized him without prompting... and after being up there for so long they definitely are remembering everyone. Even though we live far away it is neat the bond that our kids have with my family because we get to spend so much time with them when we do go!
I had lots of fun spending time with my parents and siblings. The boys had fun playing with Carson and Boo, and are still saying "I love Carson" and "I love Boo."
One bad thing from the trip is Maddox learned to escape from his pack n play. It became a game the whole time we were there... and now that we are home he is getting out of his crib in the morning before we come to get him! Sad... our babies are going to have to go in beds soon. I am not ready yet. They can't be that big, and I am not ready for them to be running around like wild men!! I am open to any suggestions that makes the transition from cribs to beds easier. Especially when there are two little wild boys in the same room! Mason did get out of his pack n play once, but he is just a more cautious kid... so he isn't doing it on a regular basis!
Well that's it!!
Stay tuned for more pictures on my photo blog!
We had a fun time and are excited to get back up there.
